A roofer near you in Coventry

Bedworth sits a few miles north of Coventry, just the other side of the M6, so the whole city is within easy reach. Holbrooks, Longford and Foleshill are on the doorstep, and the ring road and the A46 make short work of getting to the south and east of the city.

Being close matters with roofing. It means a roofer who can come and look at a leak without making a day of it, who knows the kinds of roof the city has, and who is still nearby if you need them again.

Gloved hands unrolling a sheet of bitumen roofing felt across a flat roof

Coventry’s roofs

Roofs of every age, across the city

Much of Coventry was rebuilt or newly built in the middle of the twentieth century, and it shows in the roofs. The estates that went up in the 1950s and 60s were mostly covered in concrete tiles over bitumen felt. The tiles often have years left in them, but the felt and battens underneath do not, which is why a roof that looks sound from the street can still be letting water in.

The older parts of the city have the opposite problem. On Victorian and Edwardian terraces the slates and clay tiles can outlast everything around them, while the nails, the lead and the chimney mortar give up first.

And almost every street has flat roofs: garages, kitchen extensions, dormers and bay windows, many still under their original felt. Pinnacle replaces them in rubber, fibreglass or modern felt.
